Tweak prestasi memory (RAM)

1. Minimum Ram – 512mb
2. Start – Run – Regedit
3. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management
4. DisablePagingExecutive – double click dan tukar value 1
5. LargeSystemCache – double click dan tukar value 1
6. Restart pc

P/s : Tidak digalakkan kepada pengguna ATI kerana mungkin akan mendatangkan masalah pada windows


Mengubah Auto-Reboot

1. Start – Regedit
2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CrashControl
3. Cari Autoreboot pada list
4. Double klik @ klik kanan dan pilih modify
5. Tukar value kepada 0 untuk off dan 1 untuk on
6. Restart pc anda

Shutdown Xp dgn cepat

1) Start – Run – Regedit
2) Navigasi ke:HKEY CURRENT USER\Control Panel\Desktop
3) Double click pada AutoEndTasks dan tukar 0 kepada 1
4) Double click pada WaitToKillAppTimeout dan tukar data dari 20000 ke 2000
5) Double click pada HungAppTimeout dan tukar data dari 5000 ke 1000
6) Restart pc

jika ada masalah, try buat cara di bawah pula

- Double click WaitToKillServiceTimeout dan tukar data dari 20000 ke 2000

Convert Fat32 to NTFS


1. Start – Run :
2. CONVERT C: /FS:NTFS
3.YES

Correcting System Hang at Startup

1. Click on Start/Run, type ‘msconfig’, then click ‘OK’.
2. Go to the ‘Services’ tab, find the ‘Background Intelligent Transfer’ service, disable it, apply the changes & reboot.

Speed Up Menu Display

1. Start -> Run -> Regedit
2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
3. Select MenuShowDelay from the list on the right.
4. Right on it and select Modify.
5. Change the value to 300
6. Reboot your computer.

Disable Auto-Reboot

1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System
2. Go to Advanced


3. Under the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings…
4. Under System Failure un-check “Automatically restart”

NT Backup

(To install it in XP Home Editon doubleclick this file on your XP cd:\VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP\NTBACKUP.MSI)

Start>run>NTBACKUP

Disable Prefetch for low memory systems

Note: Disabling prefetch on your systems may have a bad effect as it might free up ram but it also could increase program start up time.

Disable Prefetch.

1. run “regedit”;
2. goto [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters\EnablePrefetcher];
3. Set the value to either 0-Disable.
4. reboot.

Delete Prefetch Automatically

1. Go into My Computer and go into your hard drive.
2. Right-click anywhere that a file is not and select the ‘New’ submenu and click ‘Text Document’
3. Name it “deleteprefetch”
4. Double-click on the text file you just created.
5. Type “del C:\Windows\Prefetch\*.* /Q” (without the quotes).
6. Go to File > Save As… and choose “All Files” from the “Save as Type” box and save it as “deleteprefetch.bat”
7. You just created a batch file that will automatically delete all the files in your Prefetch folder.

Adjust Graphics for Speed

1. Right click on your desktop and select properties.
2. Click on the settings tab and adjust the color quality drop down box to Medium (16 Bit).
3. Click OK
4. Right click on the My Computer icon on your desktop or in your start panel and select properties.
5. Click on the Advanced tab and hit the setting button under performance.
6. On the visual effects tab, select Adjust for Best Performance and hit OK.
7. Hit OK once more to exit system properties.
